I studied here in wellington back in 2002. My experience travelling around the world and massaging in various countries has been a marvellous journey. Being back in Wellington with my four kids is a lot of fun. My aim is for massage to become a cultural norm and to help create a new generation of athletes who focus on injury prevention.

After massaging for more than 15 years I recognise its the simple message that has the most impact. My longer massage sessions are designed to identify the difference between left and right and treat the tissue on a level the reduces the muscular tension. Helping the individual understand what we are trying to achieve and how to achieve it is the greatest way forward to resolving muscular tension.

Days Available: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Diploma in Health Sciences (Therapeutic Massage), Certificate in Relaxation Massage

Massage is part of my Japanese culture.  I remember giving my parents’ “massage tickets” I had made, for Mothers’ and Fathers’ day.  My dad was an acupuncturist so it was very natural for me to develop my interest in improving the health and well-being of others.

I have always liked challenging myself so I chose to come to this beautiful country to study Massage Therapy.

I trained at the New Zealand College of Massage and I hold a Diploma in Health Sciences (Therapeutic Massage) and a Certificate in Relaxation Massage.  These encompass Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Massage, Sports Maintenance Massage and Relaxation Massage. I have also introduced Shiatsu and acupressure point techniques into my practice.

My passion is to improve the well-being of my clients, so I have surrounded myself with other health practitioners to motivate me and increase my practice knowledge.

Tension can be caused through our busy lives and having higher stress levels so my sessions tend to be relaxing.  I don’t believe in a “one massage fits all” approach – I apply different techniques to each situation. and work with my clients to achieve their goals in the sessions.

In my spare time I am a novice runner and I have recently developed an interest in cardio exercises.  Exercising helps me to be more aware of my posture and any tension that I am holding in my body and I apply that knowledge in the massage treatment for my clients.
